Operational principle

Activated carbon adsorption mainly occurs during the process of removing impurities in the liquid and gas phases using activated carbon. The porous structure of activated carbon provides a large surface area, making it very easy to achieve the purpose of absorbing and collecting impurities. Due to the presence of unbalanced and unsaturated molecular attraction or chemical bonding forces on the surface of activated carbon adsorbents, when the solid surface comes into contact with gas, it can attract gas molecules, causing them to concentrate and remain on the solid surface. This phenomenon is called adsorption. By utilizing the adsorption capacity of solid surfaces, like magnetism, all molecules have mutual attraction. Because of this, a large number of molecules on the pore walls of activated carbon can generate strong gravity, thereby attracting impurities from the medium to the pore size.
